Customer Service Manager- ELGIN, IL

The Customer Service Manager provides management and direction regarding all customer service-related functions. This position oversees, trains, and assists the customer service department regarding order entry, product clarification, order status, delivery, returns, shortages, and missing product, while ensuring our distributors receive the highest level of service. Projecting a professional company image at all times is what has made our customer service team best in class. Our first priority is always being prompt, efficient and providing friendly customer service.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

1.      Monitoring departmental phone and email workloads to ensure optimal service levels are achieved for both external and internal customers,

2.      Focusing on customer needs in order to provide excellent customer service,

3.      Building a connection with the Customer Service team through involvement and trust; engaging and inspiring team members to want to perform,

4.      Continuous coaching and skill development of customer service team members by conducting one-on-one meetings with team members to discuss performance and facilitating on-going performance discussions and performance reviews,

5.      Addressing performance, conduct, and attendance concerns in a timely manner, and providing constructive feedback in a professional manner,

6.      Analyzing data to identify trends, address team/individual performance, and recommend process improvements,

7.      Providing technical and system assistance to employees,

8.      Approving timecards, PTO Requests, and qualifying overtime using established guidelines;

9.      Handling escalated customer calls same day and following up on any issues, including those delegated from the Sales Operations Manager;

10.  Collaborating cross-functionally with all customers and internal office and warehouse departments (at all locations) to resolve customer issues or complaints and promote process and quality improvements,

11.  Escalating any system, product or employee related issues to Sales Operations Manager,

and providing constructive feedback,

12.  Supporting customer service team by processing orders, and assisting distributors with understanding company products, policies and procedures,

13.  Answering inbound calls from customers, distributors and internal staff,

14.  Any additional duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Associate degree (bachelor’s degree preferred),
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain timelines and deadlines. Must be self-motivated, proactive, positive, and results-oriented and demonstrate strong problem -solving skills.
  • Minimum 5 -7 years of previous supervisory experience in a customer service call center (helpful if previous experience is from within the packaging industry),
  • Previous experience with strong coaching and team development,
  • Previous experience in writing performance reviews and establishing employee goals,
  • Experience making staffing adjustments, as required, to accommodate customer demand,
  • Ability to work hours of 8:30am – 5:30pm (Mon- Fri) and overtime when necessary,
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to think quickly and logically to handle stressful situations,
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and switch gears constantly,
  • Proficient PC skills with strong data entry and word processing skills,
  • Responsive to new technology and learning new things.

Do you live in the ATLANTA AREA? We are looking for qualified and certified forklift/clamp truck operators for 1st shift for our FOREST PARK, GA location!!!

Do you live in the DALLAS AREA or CHICAGOLAND AREA? We are looking for qualified and certified forklift/clamp truck operators for 2nd shift in DALLAS, TX and ELGIN, IL! 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Preparing orders including picking, pulling, staging for shipment
  • Loading/unloading trucks
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping isles, shelves and work stations neat
  • Complying with all policies and procedures
  • Report discrepancies
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and management
  • Follows quality standards to assure safety is first
  • Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing related goals for results as needed
  • Other duties as needed

 

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • 2- 3 years previous warehouse experience
  • Must speak, read, and write English
  • Reliable transportation
  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds on occasion
  • Knowledge of BOLs, shipping/receiving a plus but not required

    • $12.50-hour starting pay (1st shift) with annual review
