The Delivered Pricing Program was only available to Distributors located outside of The Packaging Wholesalers local delivery zone. You may ask what this means to you…
Many of you ship your orders locally. By default, we will be setting your Destination Zip Code to your default shipping address. Since local freight is typically free, your pricing and the online shopping experience will be the same as before. However, if you should want to ship an order to a non-local destination (such as another warehouse or direct to a customer), you can simply enter the new Destination Zip Code and the pricing throughout the site will adjust accordingly! Now you’ll know what each item in any order is costing you with freight.

This leaves you trying to determine what price to put on those products to ensure you make your desired profits. While you are aware by now that our Delivered Pricing Program is based on minimum threshold to your destination zip code, you may not know what happens on orders that fall under that amount. When you reach the threshold, you receive your order with $0* in shipping charges. However…
… Have you seen what happens when your order is under the minimum threshold to your destination zip code required for free shipping?
With Delivered Pricing, the totals for items in your cart include some freight based on the zip code you provide. When you check out with less than the minimum threshold there is already some freight figured into your item prices. Where other companies might charge full freight, taking the extra as a penalty for not hitting the minimum order amount, The Packaging Wholesalers does not. When you check out with an order under the minimum threshold, we apply the freight amount in your item price toward your final shipping total. Therefore, the closer your order total gets to the threshold, the more reduced your shipping quote will be. Many orders ship for as little as $5.00(!!) even though they don’t reach the minimum threshold. Be certain to click “Checkout” and review your freight rates!
Currently, the Delivered Pricing Program is based on the least expensive carrier option available for any given order. We work closely with freight companies, screening our providers to ensure competitive rates and great service. We believe the automatic vendor selection will meet your needs on nearly every order. However, based on your comments, we know you occasionally prefer your orders to be shipped through another select carrier – even if the price is somewhat higher. Therefore, we are going to offer you the opportunity to select a different freight vendor upon placing your order with The Packaging Wholesalers. Once you select the address to receive the order, the top available carriers will be displayed, each with any applicable surcharge. While the least expensive will still cost you $0 for orders that meet your threshold, our other carriers will now be available for a fee which covers the difference between their quote and the best rate. Any applicable surcharges for your premium freight carrier selection will be automatically added to your order.
